We appreciate everyone inquiring about our well-being during the tragic wildfires in the Los Angeles area. Thankfully, our operations remain unaffected. Although we feel powerless against the widespread devastation, we deeply admire and support the courageous efforts of the first responders and all those providing aid and comfort to those directly affected. Subject: Supporting Communities During the Los Angeles Wildfires Crisis
Dear Colleagues –
I wanted to take a moment to address the devastating fires that have been affecting the Los Angeles area. The destruction and loss have been heartbreaking to witness, and our thoughts are with everyone who has been impacted. I know that many of us have friends and family in the impacted areas and if you need to take time away from your work obligations to offer assistance, please speak with your manager.
While we all feel helpless in the face of such far-reaching destruction, we support the brave actions of the first responders and those who are helping to provide aid and comfort to everyone directly impacted.
In order to assist with these efforts the firm has made donations to the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation and the Pasadena Community Foundation Eaton Fire Relief and Recovery Fund through our employee donor-advised fund at the San Diego Foundation. While our donation is small relative to the scale of the efforts needed to fight the ongoing fires and deal with the recovery efforts, we want to make sure we are doing our part to support our neighbors to the north.
We are hopeful that there will be no further destruction and that thoughts may soon turn to rebuilding and recovery.
